SNAZ OS randomly generates universes on a whim; but it still must have a database of “content” to pull from before it can be called in generation. The Aether serves as a databank of source material that can be utilized by SNAZ OS when generating new universes.
Barrier
The Aether is the border between other universes, and protects every universe from breaches, so long as the strands of The Aether hold up. It additionally blocks others from finding themselves in another universe, as only Faster Than Reality travel can get one through.
Adhesive
The strands of The Aether hold universes together and avoids direct contact with neighboring universes.
