Wyrms are known as "EntityWyrm" by the game, and are part of the Nyral Wyrm species. For a progression of wyrms that show up at each stage of the Invasion, click here.

Shared characteristics

  • All wyrms, when lit on fire, will explode on death, the explosion size depending on the size of the wyrm in question. If this is big enough, the explosion can be heard from ~1,000 blocks away.
  • All wyrms take 3 times as much damage from fire. Combined with the above characteristic, this makes lighting wyrms on fire extremely risky, and in many cases would not be an ideal method of taking them out due to collateral damages.
  • Through configuration, wyrms can be made immune to cactus damage and fall damage.
  • All wyrms do not despawn (Exceptions like Probers exist)
  • All wyrms are marked as mobs, regardless of if they actually fall into the "hostile" category or not.
  • Every kill (some wyrms have notable exceptions/differences) makes the wyrms earn 1 invasion point.
  • All wyrms are immune to the Call Of The Hive effect from Scape and Run: Parasites. This mod compatibility means that wyrms can not be assimilated by the parasites due to their inorganic nature.
  • Besides Wyrmlings, all wyrms attack their attackers back. This property is inherited by all mob groups in the mod.
  • Wyrms, if they can enrage, gain Strength II and Resistance I when enraged and knock back their original target to make way to the new attacker.
    • The attacker must be close enough to the wyrm to cause it to enrage.
    • Wyrms will INSTANTLY switch to another target
    • Rage causes wyrms to produce an annoyed sound when activated.
    • This is an anti-swarm tactic that works extremely well against SRP and Lycanite's mobs.
  • All wyrms cannot drown.
  • Flying wyrms cannot take fall damage, and are much weaker to projectiles than ground wyrms.
  • All wyrms are immune to poison.

  • v0.1.2x - Wyrms gained immunity to Scape and Run's COTH effect.
  • v0.1.3 - All wyrms take 3x the damage from fire, and if they die on fire, will explode.
    • Additionally, all wyrms gain invasion points when killing entities.
  • v0.1.35 - Wyrms are now linked to the Evolution System
    • When they are killed by anything, one point is added to the Evolution System

    • Wyrms no longer drown and suffocate.

    • Wyrms can now enrage, though not all will be able to despite the code being there.
