Wyrmling (Wyrms of Nyrus)

Wyrmlings are a passive mob in Wyrms of Nyrus.

Behavior

Wyrmlings attempt to flee players at extremely fast speeds upon approach, and like to maintain a distance of ~1 block from other living entities.

Wyrmlings can grow up into the following wyrms after 2001 to 8000 ticks have passed:

Handling

Handle wyrmlings with care; there's a chance that wyrmlings can grow into immediately hostile wyrms. A good option for avoiding a lot of the invasion force is to kill the wyrmlings you can find, though they may slip away and grow up.

Trivia

  • Wyrmlings were the very first wyrms added to the mod
  • Canonically, the Gamii Hive releases the hexe pods with wyrmlings inside in order to hide the invasion.
    • Wyrmlings are small and hard to notice, and are able to grow up into a wide variety of castes. For these reasons, they make for great stealth units.
  • Wyrmlings hiss like cicadas due to the release of poisonous air in their tail.
